Description
An industrial business is a company that produces, manufactures, or processes goods (usually on scale)—turning raw materials into finished products, machinery, or equipment typically used by other industries rather than sold direct to consumers.
This award recognizes an industrial business that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (technology, logistics, products, sales, marketing); Proven business sustainability or growth (revenue/sales, efficiency, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding business accomplishments/awards/impact in operations, safety and/or environmental stewardship; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Requirements
- Chamber members (excluding Chamber Board members) may nominate themselves.
- All nominees must be member businesses in good standing of the Leduc, Nisku & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce.
- Members with current representation on the Chamber Board of Directors (including appointed Directors), as well as Chamber staff, do not qualify for nomination.
- Businesses and/or individuals may only win in one award category (excluding the Young Business Leader Award).
- Previous nominees can be nominated in the same category as years past but cannot win two years in a row in the same category.
- The Chamber is committed to following up on all nominations.
Tips for successful entry:
- Short, concise sentences or point form.
- Include specifics or measurables in your examples (i.e., percentages, statistics, metrics, etc.) of employee retention rates, sales growth, policies and procedures).
