This award recognizes a business that demonstrates a commitment to fostering a more diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workforce and community by being a leader in at least one of the following: Commitment to a diverse workforce (exemplary efforts to recruit, retain and promote from a wide range of socio-demographic backgrounds and lived experiences); Ensuring equity (Providing equal and fair opportunities to access to resources, career advancements, and receive fair compensation. Working to remove barriers to equity through policy and procedures and providing needs-based resources.); Fosters inclusive culture (Established as a supportive place of business that honours and respects diverse identities and experiences contributing to a feeling of belonging within the organization or community.); Prioritizes accessibility (Works to identify, remove and prevent barriers surrounding one or more of the following: products, services, communications, employment standards and physical spaces.)

Requirements

Chamber members (excluding Chamber Board members) may nominate themselves. All nominees must be an active employee within a member business or be a member business that is in good standing of the Leduc, Nisku & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce. Members with current representation on the Chamber Board of Directors do not qualify for nomination. Businesses and/or individuals may only win in one award category. Previous nominees/winners can be nominated in the same category as years past. The Chamber is committed to follow up on all nominations.
