General Requirements/Criteria

Chamber members (excluding Chamber Board members) may nominate themselves.
All nominees must be member businesses in good standing of the Leduc, Nisku & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce / the Devon & District Chamber of Commerce.
Members with current representation on the Chamber Board of Directors (including appointed Directors), as well as Chamber staff, do not qualify for nomination.
Businesses and/or individuals may only win in one award category (excluding the Young Business Leader Award).
Previous nominees can be nominated in the same category as years past but cannot win two years in a row in the same category.
The Chamber is committed to following up on all nominations.

Agri-Business - Leduc/Nisku
Agri-business refers to any business involved in the production, processing/manufacturing, support industries, marketing, and distribution of food and/or agricultural products. It includes the entire value chain — from farm to consumer.
This award recognizes an agri-business that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (production, processing, operations, and/or sales and marketing); Proven business sustainability and/or growth (revenue/sales, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding accomplishments in agri-business industry; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Community Impact (Non-Profit/Not for Profit/Charity) - Leduc/Nisku
This award recognizes a Non-Profit/Not for Profit/Charity organization that that has made a significant, lasting and positive difference for their community whether in arts/culture, sport, social, environment, etc. and shows some or all of the following:
Incorporation as a Not for Profit, Society or Charity; Proven growth or sustainability (revenue, employees, clients, volunteers, programs/services); Dedicated focus on achieving their vision and mandate; outstanding accomplishments/awards/impact; and active partnerships and leadership in their community or industry.
Energy Industry Excellence - Leduc/Nisku
Energy (oil and gas, electricity, renewables, energy efficiency, infrastructure) businesses include businesses that produce or delivers energy itself OR that provides products, equipment, technology or support to produce, manage, or use energy efficiently, reliably, and sustainably.
This award recognizes an energy business that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (processes/operations, or sales/marketing, products/services); Proven business sustainability or growth (revenue, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding business accomplishments/awards in operations, safety and/or environmental stewardship; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Global Growth - Leduc/Nisku
This award recognizes a business that has successfully expanded its operations, products, or services into international markets and shows some or all, of the following: Innovation and creativity in selling internationally, entering new markets or overcoming challenges in international expansion; Proven business presence or growth in one or more international markets (revenue, customers, markets); Outstanding business accomplishments/partnerships/awards; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Large Business (11+ employees) - Leduc/Nisku
This award recognizes a business of 11+ Full Time employees that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (processes/operations, sales, marketing, diversification, products/services); Proven business growth (revenue/sales, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding business accomplishments/awards; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Legacy Business (20+ years) - Leduc/Nisku
This award recognizes a business that has been in operation for 20 years or more (started on or before January, 2005) and shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (processes/operations, sales, marketing, diversification, products/services); Proven business growth (revenue/sales, employees, markets, locations); outstanding business accomplishments/awards/contributions to local employment, active impact in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Manufacturing Business - Leduc/Nisku
A manufacturing business is one that makes products—whether on a small scale or in large factories—by turning raw materials into finished good and then sells those finished products to consumers, other businesses, or distributors.
This award recognizes a manufacturing business that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (technology, products, sales, marketing); Proven business sustainability or growth (revenue/sales, efficiency, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding business accomplishments/awards/impact in operations, safety and/or environmental stewardship; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Outstanding Workplace - Leduc/Nisku
This award recognizes a business that creates an engaging, supportive, and inclusive workplace where employees thrive and that demonstrates some or all of the following:
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; commitment to recruiting and retaining a diverse team and initiatives that promote representation, fairness, and accessibility; provides opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and career advancement; Supports employee health and well-being through policies and programs; and contributes to the community or industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Small Business (1-10 employees) - Leduc/Nisku

This award recognizes a new business, started less than 5 years ago (started on or before January 1, 2020) that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (sales, marketing, operations, products/services); sustainable business growth (revenue/sales, efficiencies, brand, customers); Overcoming start-up challenges; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
Tourism Business - Leduc/Nisku
A tourism business offers experiences, accommodations, food & beverage, attractions/activities, or services that attract and serve visitors.
This award recognizes a Tourism business that demonstrates excellence in delivering exceptional visitor experiences, driving local tourism that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in their tourism business (experiences, services, operations, and/or sales and marketing); Proven business sustainability and/or growth (revenue/sales, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding accomplishments/awards in local tourism or in the larger tourism industry; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).

This award recognizes a business of 3+ Full Time employees that shows some or all of the following: Innovation and creativity in business (processes/operations, sales, marketing, diversification, products/services); Proven business growth (revenue/sales, employees, markets, locations); Outstanding business accomplishments/awards; and active involvement in community and industry (charitable/community groups, non-profits, business/professional associations).
